Natalia Cardenas is a Xicana Feminist artist based in Santa Barbara from La Puente, California. Her emphasis is in illustration, mural painting and woodblock printing. She specializes in detailed graphite and vibrant colored pencil illustrations. Natalia’s inspiration comes from her Mexican culture and various Chicano muralists. She has been making art since she knew how to pick up a pencil. Art is a significant part of Natalia’s life. She is currently working as the Art Gallery Curator for UCSB’s Women’s Center and as an art teacher for the Goleta Boys and Girls Club.
